CLASSICS Collection
 The CLASSICS Collection was conceived to offer furniture manufacturers a total fabric solution. The program consists of many different dobby and jacquard fabrics constructed with 100% nylon, nylon-acrylic, 100% recycled polyester, and poly-rayon blends. Each range is offered in 7-15 carefully researched colors reflecting colortrend forecasts for the next 3 to 5 years. All coloring is achieved using the COLORSPEC® System which enables fabrics to be woven in white, stocked, and dyed later to obtain solids or multi-color combinations in a single dye-bath, allowing for very rapid lead times

The fabrics in the CLASSICS Collection play on the subtleties of color, structure, and texture and small scale patterns. The collection is therefore more likely to have a lasting appeal rather than be subject to rapidly changing fashion trends. This reduces sampling costs by enabling fabrics to stay in furniture manufacturers? catalogues for a longer period of time. Furthermore, the classic designs allow the fabrics to accentuate the design of the chair. |
| All of the fabrics in the CLASSICS Collection reach anywhere between 50,000 and 500,000 double rubs using the Wyzenbeek abrasion testing method. Added fabric durability enables manufacturers to give longer guarantees on their seating products. Furthermore, longer product life cycles benefit the environment. |
| The colorways in each range are based on current and forecast color trends identified by the Color Marketing Group of which Geo. Sheard Fabrics is a member. The wide palette of co-ordinated colors usually offers customers sufficient variety to make a rapid color selection. Unlike polyolefin fabrics, however, if special colorways are required for a customer's standard range, they can be developed easily and quickly at no extra charge using the COLORSPEC® System. |
| All the SKUs in the CLASSICS Collection are available on a full roll basis directly from the mill. Geo. Sheard Fabric?s COLORSPEC® System allows it to offer a high level of service with low finished goods inventories. These savings are passed on to customers in the form of affordable prices. Our fabrics ship within 2 weeks of order placement. |
| All customers are encouraged to use the COLORSPEC® symbol on their sample cards. This denotes the flexibility of offering custom colors to clients (see the Special Projects section). This color flexibility reduces the need to use COMs and offers designers and end-users an additional tool in the creativity process. |
| All fabrics in the CLASSICS Collection can be treated with a Teflon stain-repellant finish which protects fabrics against wet or greasy stains as well as from dust and dry soil by chemically sealing each individual fiber. This treatment provides long-lasting protection to seating products and prolongs their newly-upholstered look. |
| The Greenleaf logo is a trademark of Geo. Sheard Fabrics and designates fabrics in which the polyester content is 100% recycled. The recycling of polyester reduces the environmental footprint left from processing petroleum products into virgin polyester. The ensuing reduction in the energy required for the manufacturing process results in lower emission levels and less waste. |
